Valentino. Resort collection 2017
On February 7, 2017 by YelenaFashion Designer Maria Grazia Chiuri and her teammate Pierpaolo Piccioli who are a creative directors of Valentino from 1999 were inspired by Cuba.
The island with a multicultural roots and history was inspiring recently for many fashion designers.
Valentino Resort collection 2017 is flourishing with deep colours, rich embroideries and beaded laces, florals, butterflies and touch of medieval mystery.
“The thing we love about Cuba is the many different memories of the place—African, Spanish, ’50s America,” Chiuri said in her interview to Vogue.
Designers use the national flower of Cuba, the white ginger lily in colourful patterns, mix delicate fabrics with new large painted wooden beads, bravely combine
lace brocade and embroidered butterflies with military jackets and camouflage prints. All those ingredients creates an exotic cocktail of this remarkable influential collection.
